Design your map
Prior to the workshop, everyone in your group will submit their location selections. Popular locations include hometowns, vacation destinations, college campuses, and engagement sites. Most people design their own maps with our online tool.
Make your map
We'll give your group an introduction to wood marquetry, orient you to the materials, and provide you with an overview of the process. Then, we will provide detailed instruction and hands-on assistance as you inlay, adhere, sand, and finish your map.
Display your map
Deciding where and how to display such a meaningful, beautiful piece of artwork is often the hardest part of the Woodcut Maps experience. One thing we can promise: your map will prompt lots of questions. So put it where everyone can see it!
